Dear APS Rockers and Runners!
I know this may not be top of mind at this time, but I know you will ask soon: Is the Second Annual APS Rocks and Runs 5K still on?
The short answer is a definitive “YES!” The longer answer involves a twist. Because of COVID-19, we are taking the race virtually. Allow me to explain.
As you already know, we created APS Rocks and Runs 5K last year as a benefit for APS educators during National Teacher Appreciation Week. Instead of running the race through Atlanta’s Historic West End, participants may now complete the three-mile run/walk on their own between Saturday, May 2, and Friday, May 15, at the location of their own choosing!
We need to make this a real virtual event, so I need everyone in the APS family to represent and wear your favorite school spirit gear! Get creative and start sharing now! Use the hashtag #APSrocks5K and post your plans, your training, and your run to social media!
And now for registration details:
Register today and stay tuned as we announce other great events around National Teacher Appreciation Week!
Thanks to all of you for supporting the 2nd Annual APS Rocks and Runs 5K! For more information, please contact our Engagement and Events Manager, Michael Wilburn: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Much Love and Air Hugs!
