This year’s corporate run/walk will be fully inclusive for all your co-workers and teammates! A new name, logo and website will soon reflect that the World’s Largest Corporate-Organized 5K and Office Party will now be known as the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run, Walk & Roll!   This program enhancement ensures that our event is fully-inclusive for co-workers and colleagues who use wheelchairs so they can fully participate in the fun, fitness and employee camaraderie that our corporate teams and participants have enjoyed the past 35 years. An inclusive and diverse workforce can boost productivity, improve employee morale and help contribute to social development for participating companies.

Designed to promote health and fitness among metro-Atlanta companies and their employees, this unique workplace fitness program kicks off with an 8-week Let's Move, Atlanta! training promotion powered by Phidippides and culminates in a downtown 5K Run/Walk at the Georgia World Congress Center! Everyone is welcome, including beginning exercisers and individuals not affiliated with a team. Join us for an expanded Interactive Zone, and lots of camaraderie!

SPECIAL NOTE:
Since this year’s Kaiser Permanente Run, Walk & Roll will be held on Wednesday, 9/11, we have planned a special ceremony that will honor and recognize first responders and active/retired military for their sacrifice to our country on that fateful date in 2001 and their ongoing service - past, present and future - to keep our families safe.  Our event theme will be very patriotic and we’ll be handing out American flags to the over 10,000+ participants registered. Officer Matt Cooper, the Covington police officer who was critically wounded in the line of duty last year, is the official Grand Marshall for this special 9/11 ceremony.  We also will be joined by Officer Derek Nunn from the Dekalb County Police Department, who also was gravely wounded in the line of duty.  Come dressed in your company T-shirt, or your patriotic finest athletic wear as we recognize, honor and thank our brave first responders and military for their sacrifice and service.    Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields will give the opening remarks and a salute!
