Dash of the Dead

Phinizy Swamp Nature Park will host the first annual 5k "Dash of the Dead" to celebrate World Zombie Day! This zombie themed 5k race and event will include zombie face painting, a photo booth, food available for purchase from The Pot Smoker BBQ food truck, beer for purchase from the beer garden, lemonade available for purchase from The Lemonade Man, live music by Chris Hardy, outdoor games, CrossFit competitions provided by CrossFit 706, and scares along the raceway. 

Runners and walkers are encouraged to go all out with their zombie costumes! 

Donations to Phinizy Center and Nature Park are greatly appreciated. The top donator will win a GRAND PRIZE! The prize includes a two person, two night stay in Decatur, GA, restaurant certificates, a free months pass to Active Climbing in Grovetown, and more! Keep checking back to watch the prize package grow! 

Race will begin at 6:15 pm. Race will not be officially timed. There will be a volunteer at the end of the race to yell out times but bibs and time board will not be used.
