Details

Need you to be at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM to set up tents, tables, coolers etc.

Parking Director

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Will direct racers to their parking spot. Needed from 4:45 PM - 8:00 PM. Will be in a cut grass field.

Face Painter

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Must be willing to learn how to create zombie themed face and body make up. There will be a training day. If you have any of your own paint supplies you feel comfortable using, please bring to use. Brushes and some supplies will be available. Please email if interested. Needed on race day from 4:30 - 7:30 PM.

On course zombie

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Must dress up as a zombie for the night of the event. Welcome to be in a group. Must jump out and scare runners as they pass. Must not make contact with runners. Will go over specifics if interested. Email for more details. Needed from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Registration table

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Will be in charge of processing same day runners, handing out T shirts and goody bags, and checking in preregistered runners. Needed from 4:45 PM - 6:00 PM.

Photographer

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Will take pictures of zombie dressed runners at the photo booth. Your photos will be posted on the Phinizy Swamp Nature Park website. Runners may ask as well to have you take pictures with their personal phone. Encourage people to use #dashofthedead
Needed from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Will also need a photographer to take pictures out on the course and of games and activities. Photos will also be posted on our Facebook page.

Beer garden

You must be 21 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Must be 21 or over and have valid ID card. Will be checking ID cards, taking beer purchases, passing out drink bracelets and beer. Needed from 5:00 PM -8:00 PM

Water stations

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Make sure watering stations have water and cups. Fill cups for runners as they pass by. Make sure trash is not left on race course. Needed from 5:30 - 8:00 PM

Miscellaneous

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Includes tasks like making sure the musician has water, make sure iPod is running smoothly, trash collection, answering racers questions etc. Needed from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Clean up

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Assist with take down of tents, tables, cleanup of trash, etc. Needed from 8:00 - 9:00 PM
