Description
Work up an appetite for your turkey and help homeless families get back on their feet by running or walking the 12th annual Tryptophan Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K.
Race day is on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Note: With the Greenway still under construction this year the race will start and finish at Totally Running, 405 Peachtree Pkwy.
Totally Running & Walking is excited and proud to host the 12th annual running of the Tryptophan 5K/10K/Half Marathon!!! Wow, 12 years is an AMAZING tradition!!! We are THANKFUL to all of YOU! Year after year we love seeing friends and families come together from all over to create special memories on race day! So be THAT FAMILY on turkey day and run a 5k, 10k, or half.

Race Start Times-
13.1 - 7:30 am
10K - 7:45 am
5K - 8:00 am
Virtual - whenever, wherever
Runners and walkers have the option to participate IN-PERSON or VIRTUALLY. Race packets for virtual participants will be mailed out by USPS. In-person race packet pick up will be offered on Wednesday November 23, 2022 at Totally Running and Walking, 405 Peachtree Pkwy, Ste 105, Cumming, GA 30041 from 11-6 and at Totally Running and Walking on Race Day starting at 6:30 am.
This year the race starts and finishes at Totally Running and Walking in the Brannon Crossing Shopping Center (405 Peachtree Pkwy).
Parking
The Tryptophan 2022 race course utilizes a portion of the Brannon Crossing parking lot. For runner safety we ask that you park across the street at The Collection of Forsyth. If you park in Brannon Crossing you may get stuck until the race is over. Races start on time so be sure to allow plenty of time to park, pick up your packets, and get to the start!!
Virtual and In-Person participants will receive a chip-timed race bib*, finishers medal, free photography and a premium Tryptophan long sleeve race tee

This year we are excited to benefit Family Promise of Forsyth County. Family Promise of Forsyth County serves families who are experiencing homelessness. In cooperation with community churches and volunteers, they provide a safe place to stay and meals along with programs and support to help the families gain or regain sustainable independence. Come out, burn those pre-turkey calories, and give back to our community! Register today for either our in-person or virtual race.

The Details: Friends must use your referral link in order for the referral to qualify for the program. Refunds are not retroactive; currently registered race participants do not qualify for the refund. Refund coincides with the referrer's current race registration fees. After every three referrals, Half Marathon receive a $15 refund, 10K receives a $10 refund, 5K receive a $5 refund. Refunds will not exceed total cost of your race registration fees and do not apply to add-ons if applicable.
