One of the oldest races in Georgia, the Lake Hartwell Dam Run 5K/10K offers a spectacular run across the Lake Hartwell Dam. This is one of those races needs to be done so you can mark it off you bucket list. The race is hosted by the Hart County Running Club and the Hartwell Lions Club. Proceeds go to the Hart County High School Cross Country and Track Teams

Packet Pickup begins at 7:00am at the pavilion in the Big Oaks Recreation area.
We all love our dogs but for this race please leave Fido at home.
Due to the limited width of the dam, strollers are not allowed at this event.
5K Run/Walk: One of Georgia’s most scenic 5K/10K road races. 5K runners/walkers will be bused to the start line area at Singing Pines park in SC. THE LAST BUS LEAVES AT 8:15AM. There are limited restroom facilities at Singing Pines park. The run/walk will go across the top of Hartwell Dam back to Big Oaks park to the finish.
10K Run: The 10K run starts at Big Oaks park in GA and runs across the Lake Hartwell Bridge to the turn around at Singing Pines park in SC, then proceeds across the top of Hartwell Dam back to the finish at Big Oaks. 10K participants must be able to run at least a 15:00 minute/mile pace. NO WALKERS PLEASE.
The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified.
Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, Grandmasters Male/Female. First, Second, Third places in each standard 5-year age group.
