Description
This is the 12th Annual Haven House 5k. We are back at again in 2023 at Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, GA. The 5k course is a fast one. We start just outside the track, make a loop around the parking lots and down the road to Bill Gardner Parkway. You turn around there and head back to finish on the track. The course is not open to traffic. We will have yard flamingos lining the course again this year. Just like last year, if you want to sport your Hawaiian shirt or party shirt, we welcome fun attire! Every finisher will receive a lei.

Early Bird Registration (ends 3/1):
- 5K: $25
- 5K-No Swag: $25 (No shirt - donate your fee to Haven House)
Registration (ends 4/19):
- 5K: $35
- 5K-No Swag: $35 (No shirt - donate your fee to Haven House)
Those registering after 4/10 are not eligible for a shirt.
Event Beneficiary
Haven House is a domestic violence service provider and emergency shelter dedicated to ending the cycle of family violence in Henry, Jasper, Butts, and Lamar Counties.
No one should be assaulted by a partner or spouse. No child should lay awake at night trembling in fear because his/her home is not a safe place. We are fortunate to live in a community where men and women recognize domestic violence is everyone's problem, and we are proud to fulfill our mission of working together to eliminate abuse and fear. By providing safety, shelter, counseling, and advocacy, we empower each survivor to create a future that is free from violence. Got old sneakers you think have no more use??? Bring them to us on race day!! We'll be collecting them as donations to help Haven House! We'll have a collection box available at the race.

Awards will be given to the following:
Overall Male and Female, Masters (40+) Male and Female
1st place Male and Female for the following age groups:
5-10, 11-14, 15-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 39-40, 41-45, 45-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 65+
Five Star Championships & Turkey Trot
All participants will automatically qualify for (1) FREE entry into one of the 2023 Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots. See event website
Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the Championships held in January 2024. The number of spots available is based on the total registration. See event website.
Event Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be immediately disqualified, asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.
No COVID-19 Refunds. If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided. The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
