The Santa Sleigh 5K is a major fundraising event for the Metter Middle School Beta Club. MMS Betas are committed to serving their school and community as well as holding themselves to the highest academic standards and pushing themselves through Beta Leadership and Competitive Events. The MMS Performing Arts Group recently won the title of State Champion at this year’s National Beta Convention and will have the opportunity to compete in Nationals this upcoming summer. Events like this coupled with year-round fundraiser opportunities raise funds for such competitive events as well as a variety of community service projects. One of our favorites is our annual Christmas Angel/Coin War project, in which we raise money all year to adopt children each Christmas. We have a blast each year purchasing and wrapping gifts for these children! We also participate in multiple other service projects throughout the year, as well as run the Backpack Buddy Program delivering food backpacks for the CCSD children, who need them, every week of the school year.
