Veterans Day 5K Beach Run/1 Mile Beach Walk

Join Us to Support Our Veterans

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., we invite you and your family to take part in the Veterans Day 5K Beach Run / 1-Mile Walk—a meaningful event along the beautiful shoreline of St. Simons Island, honoring those who’ve served and supporting their journey home.

Returning from military service isn’t always easy. Many veterans face significant challenges as they transition back into civilian life, often without the support they need.

Fairways for Freedom®, in partnership with SSI VFW Post 4092, is working to change that. Proceeds from this event will directly fund local programs that help combat-injured veterans reconnect, recover, and rebuild their lives—using innovative, holistic approaches, including the healing power of golf.

REGISTRATION:

All entries include a T-shirt and a finisher medal.

Register by September 1st to secure early bird pricing:

• 5K Race: $30 
• 1 Mile Walk: $30 
• Children Under 12: $20 

Starting September 2, prices increase to:

• 5K Race: $35
• 1 Mile Walk: $35
• Children Under 12: $25

RACE DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

• 7:00 am Race Day - Registration Opens Electronic Reg only (no cash)/ Packet Pick Up
• 7:45 am Race Day - Registration Closes. Head to the Starting line
• 8:00 am Event Start Time
• 9:15 am Awards to be announced, so stick around! No age group awards. 

PRE-REGISTRATION PACKET PICK UP:

• Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, Georgia Game Changers Running Company, 262 Redfern Village, SSI, GA, during business hours 
• Day of Run - 7:00 am - 7:45 am, Run location - registration table.
