The 5 At Noonday Creek

 We are excited to introduce to you the next race in our 5 Series... "The 5 At Noonday Creek." In these crazy times you have seen many virtual races but this 5 miler and 5K is NOT your typical virtual race ... This is VIRTUALLY REAL!!  Each participant will run the SAME course any date between November 7th and November 29th 2020 and will be timed using RaceJoy . Fast Flat time trial race on the Noonday Creek paved trail in downtown Woodstock 

To make this a VIRTUALLY REAL road run we will be using the RaceJoy application that can be easily downloaded for free on your smartphone.  RaceJoy will  submit your run directly to our results page. Using our timing app that will submit  true elapsed times through RaceJoy will allow us to have official run results with Overall and Age Group winners and awards. Participants can run and submit results as many times as they want between November 7th  and November 29th.  This will allow participants to improve so that their best time will count toward the final results.

The 5k course will both start at the trail head  in downtown Woodstock  . The courses wind along the Noonday Creek trail. The route will start at the trail head and go .60 of a mile then it turns left on to the board walk towards WOOFSTOCK you will the follow the trail which makes a right turn at the dog park. You will turn around at 1.55 miles  to head back to the finish.  The 5 miler will stay straight past the the board walk following the paved trail  out to 1.47 miles and turn around at the 92 trail head. At the 2.31 mile mark your will take a right on to the boardwalk going to WOOFSTOCK Dog Park and will follow the boardwalk that junctions to the right at the dog park. You will stay on that path until the turn around at 3.36 miles. Once back to the main trail you will take a right and head back to the Start Finish !!  The run is an out and back format and audible turn around points from the RaceJoy application will let you know to turn for the out and backs and all turn information . There are bathrooms, water fountains, and ample parking at the start. This virtually real race will give you the opportunity to race the familiar courses you train on and you can see how you stack up to the 1000s that run these courses weekly.
