FUNDRAISING TIPS & CHALLENGES
Thank you for helping Heritage Christian reach its goal!
Fundraising tips: People want to help. Provide them the opportunity to do so.
• Personalize your page. You can add your own photo, message and set your goal. People are more willing to donate to help you achieve a goal. If you’re a rock star fundraiser and surpass your goal – be sure to increase your goal.
• Lead by example. Donate to your page – even if it’s $5 or $10. Start making your way to your goal.
• Send emails with a link to your Stronger Together page to friends and family. Share the link on your social media pages and ask people to consider donating to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you have a personal story about Heritage Christian Services – share it! Tell people why this is important to you.
• Be specific with your requests. What’s your goal? $250? Ask 10 friends to donate $25 each. $100? Ask 10 family members to donate $10 each.
• Call your friends. Check on them and invite them to join you in participating in the event, and/or ask if they’d like to sponsor you.
Fundraise and win!
Now through May 3, we will host daily* (12 a.m. - 11:59 p.m.) gift card drawings for Stronger Together fundraisers. Winners will be posted daily in the private Stronger Together Facebook page, and they’ll be notified by email, too.
- April 26 – Receive the first donation to your page and be entered into a drawing for a $15 Target gift card.
- April 27 – The person to collect the most donations will win a $20 Amazon gift card.
- April 28 – Tag your Facebook and Instagram posts about participating in Stronger Together with #hcsstrongertogether #100minutechallenge and be entered into a drawing for two large, two-topping Domino’s Pizza certificates.
- April 29 - Receive five or more individual donations to your page and be entered into a drawing for a $25 Target gift card.
- April 30 - Receive a donation of any amount to your page and be entered into a drawing for a $20 Walmart gift card.
- May 1 – Collect a total of $100 in donations and be entered into a drawing for a $15 Target gift card.
- May 2 – Receive a donation of $20 or more to your page and be entered into a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card.
- May 3 – Meet or surpass your fundraising goal and be entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.
