Description
You won’t want to miss being part of this unique 100-minute VIRTUAL race to benefit people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the work of Heritage Christian Services.
Stronger Together is a virtual race that you can run, cycle or walk – anywhere and anytime that works best for you. Each participant will have 100 minutes to complete as many miles as they are able. The 100 minutes can be consecutive or collective, whichever you prefer. Please be sure to practice social distancing while completing your race.
Funds raised through Stronger Together will be directed to Heritage Christian’s Emergency Fund, created in response to the global coronavirus pandemic. This fund will enable Heritage Christian to face this unprecedented event and continue the care we’ve come to be known for.
Funds will be directed precisely where they need to go, with three critical areas:
• Supplies. The need for supplies has escalated. We particularly need additional medical equipment and supplies, like masks, gowns and gloves, as well as cleaning supplies and emergency equipment.
• Staffing. As the coronavirus spreads, more of our essential caregivers are unable to come to work. Many of our staff members are working long hours. We need your support to maintain staffing levels and pay overtime.
• Programs. We have lost a great deal of revenue for services because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve been forced to temporarily suspend programs such as our day habilitation programs, respite programs and those at the Pieters Family Life Center and Heritage Christian Stables. That puts an additional financial strain on Heritage Christian and our direct support staff.
When the future is uncertain for each of us, it’s up to all of us to come together and offer the generous and caring support that our community is known for. The sacrifices we make now are acts of grace and compassion. They ultimately help those we serve and our direct support professionals, who are doing critical work at this difficult time.

FAMILY PRICING
To encourage families in the same household to participate together, we're offering a family of up to five a registration rate of $75. This is a savings of up to $50.
At the bottom of the Registrant #1 screen, select "Family Registration" from the Multi-Person Pricing drop-down. The group rate discount will be applied at checkout.
