The Mid-Pacific Road Runners Club will hold the annual club Membership meeting on line via Zoom on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 12:30 p.m.
The on line event is free for MPRRC members so there are no on line registration fees or other costs. You must be registered to attend. Details about how to log into Zoom, the link to the meeting, the access code, and an agenda will be sent to all registered members prior to the meeting. Registration will close on Friday, April 2, 3:00 p.m. Club members with a family membership should register all members of the family who plan to attend.
A Zoom account is not required to attend the meeting. Instructions/links regarding the use of Zoom will be included in the email notice that will be sent on Friday evening before the meeting on Saturday. Because of the potential size of the meeting, all participants except scheduled speakers will be muted. Questions or comments should be entered into the "chat" section of Zoom. Members of the same household should log on via a single device.
Each year an election is held to fill Board of Director positions that are expiring. There are nine Board members that serve for two years. Five Board members are elected one year and four Board members are elected the following year in a continuing rotation. This year there are four Board member terms expiring thus four Board members will be elected. A nominating committee is generating a list of nominees. If you or someone you know is interested in being a candidate for the Board of Directors, please contact Paula Carroll, paula-carroll@hotmail.com, by March 20, 2021 to be included in the list of nominees. Nominations will also be taken during the meeting. Each nominee will be given about two minutes to speak during the meeting so that members can become familiar with them prior to voting. Club bylaws require a paper ballot. Instructions for voting will be provided to those who attend the meeting. To insure that all members get a certified ballot, all members in a family membership who want to vote must be registered - copies of ballots will not be counted, only original, certified ballots.
