How It Works:
- Register on RunSignUp for the optional free 40-Day Training Plan event (make sure to select the OPTIONAL 40 DAY TRAINING PLAN ending in 5k)
- Check your email for details on each training plan (look in spam/junk too).
- Pick your plan using the link in the email.
- Get weekly workouts by email and text.
- Receive your race package in the mail during Week 1 of your 40 days — includes your T-shirt, medal, journal, and bookmark.

Designed for all fitness levels, this program pairs heart rate-based training with scripture, helping you grow stronger in your faith while preparing for a 5K celebration.

Heartbeat for Jesus use 80/20 coaching. We focus on heart rate training with 80% the pace of grace and "easy" miles, and 20% of your workouts grit with "hard" miles.

THIS PLAN IS FOR YOU IF:
♥️ you are new to running and currently not able to run one mile without walking.
♥️ you want to jog + walk the 5k.
♥️ currently walking, but want to transition into running with a simple, gradual approach with heart rate zones.
♥️ the Intermeidiate Plan called PSALMS.
♥️ you want to mostly jog the 5k with some walk breaks.
THIS PLAN IS FOR YOU IF:
♥️ you are active, but running is a new adventure.
♥️ or maybe you are coming back to running from burnout.
♥️ you can go out and jog a mile today, but want to train over the 40 days to mostly jog|run (with some walk breaks) the 5k race using heart rate training and zones.
♥️ the Advanced plan called Exodus.
THIS PLAN IS FOR YOU IF:
♥️ you can go out today and comfortably run 2-3 miles without walking.
♥️ you want to build endurance, improve stamina, and develop a stronger race pace for your 5K.
♥️ this plan provides structured training using heart rate and zones.
♥️ the Joshua Plan is for the competitive runner

♥️ you can comfortably run 4+ miles without walking and want to sharpen your speed and endurance.
♥️ you are going for a personal best (PR) in your 5K compared to past 5k races.
♥️ you want race pace workouts and are confident in pacing and speed.
