What are my course options?

Can my children participate? Is the event child-friendly?
- Yes! We love to have families participate!
- Children ages 5 and under are free and do NOT need to register.
- Children's shirts are available to purchase on the Store tab.
Where will the run/walk happen?
- This year our event is virtual, which means that you can run or walk anywhere you choose!
- Our event kick off is August 15th but you have until August 25th to submit your time (see below for instructions)
How can I share this event with my friends/family/social circle?
- It's easy! You can visit our event page and share on Facebook or once you set up a fundraising page, there are easy ways to share online
What is Hope Pregnancy Clinic’s mission?
- Hope Pregnancy Clinic exists to empower women who are unprepared for pregnancy to make healthy, life-affirming decisions.
I can’t participate in the run/walk – how can I be involved?
- Remember that you have from August 15th to August 25th to run or walk your distance.
- But, if you can't run or walk, you can still be involved:
- Support someone who is running/walking in the event.
- Create a personal fundraiser page and invite your friends to support the event.
Can I change my shirt size?
- Yes – before August 4th you can contact Beth Maurer at beth@hopeforsalem.org to change shirt size. After August 4th, we are not able to guarantee shirt size changes or shirts for late registration.
Can I register a friend or family member?
- Yes! You can register multiple people on one form, as well as purchase additional shirts for children
- Please remember that each runner/walker (ages 6 and up) needs to register to participate. Children ages 5 and under do not need to register but are welcome to participate
How can I check my run time?
- Huber Timing Company will post the results on this page and will send a link to your email
FAQ’s for Team Captains & Members
How can I set up a team?
- First REGISTER as a runner/walker and mark the Team Captain box – you will also come up with a team name here (this can be changed or added later if you need)
- You can register your team members at the same time, just know that all registration fees will be due then.
- Team members can register themselves individually and note the team name on their registration (third page of the registration form)
- All team members must be registered to participate
- Second CREATE a team fundraising account
- Go to the Donate button on the left menu and choose "Become a Fundraiser"
- Enter your information to "Become a Fundraiser"
- PLEASE NOTE: your fundraising goal should be entered in this section
- Next, say yes to the optional "Team Fundraiser" section below - follow the prompts
- Your teammates can also use this to search for your team fundraiser page
How can I invite team members to the team fundraising page?
- Once you set up your team fundraiser, click on the "Manage" button by your team name.
- You will be able to access links to share with your teammates.
- They can also search for your team name on the bottom of the "Become a Fundraiser" page
How do I join a team?
- When registering, add the team name and team leader name to your registration form
- To join a team fundraiser, go to the "Become a Fundraiser" page and search for your team
Do I have to have a personal fundraising goal?
- If you will be using the online resources, yes, but you can set the goal to any amount you choose
- If you want to download the paper donation form and collect donations in person, you don't need to set a goal
Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?
- Yes! Thanks to our event sponsor, Blazer Industries, Inc., all money raised through registration and donations count toward your fundraising goal.
