Beef Cooking Demonstration with THE GRILL DADS
JOIN MARK ANDERSON FOR BEEF THREE WAYS!
THE GRILL DADS are Mark Anderson and Ryan Fey, also known as Mark and Fey. Mark and Fey were featured on Food Network’s Guys Big Project, hosted by Guy Fieri, where contestants brought their own personal culinary styles to a food travelogue format. With their quirky and lovable charm and intrinsic food knowledge, Mark and Fey quickly became known as "The Grill Dads".
Mark lives right here in Eagle, Idaho and is sharing his passion for everything behind the grill with our race participants in an exclusive cooking demonstration. He will take one beef cut - and show participants how to easily enjoy it three different ways!
Highlighted Dishes:
- Primary Meal: Braised Short Ribs This one will be perfectly seasoned with simple ingredients which will allow us to celebrate the flavor of the beef and also create options for us for our next two meals. Use the Tuxedo Red spice blend for this dish.
- Second Meal: Shredded Beef Tacos Birria. We will add some cumin, garlic, and ancho to the leftover braising liquid then slowly simmer our beef until it is heated through. Then it will go into the taco in a cast iron skillet with some Oaxacan (sub shredded mozzarella) cheese. Finish with hot sauce, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. Black Tuxedo spice blend used with this dish.
- Third Meal: Hunter's Pie. Add some fresh thyme and tomato paste to our leftover beef and carrots, top it with some buttery whipped Idaho potatoes and bake it until bubbly and delicious. White Tuxedo spice blend used with this dish.
