Join us on November 2nd for an exciting event that features the scenic trail run course at Carl Hansen Woods and is paired with excellent local craft beer!
How does it work? This is a standard 5k course that includes 2 loops on paved and dirt trails through the beautiful Carl Hansen Woods Forest Preserve. Participants will have the opportunity to have an (optional) 3oz sample of beer at the start of the race and after completing the first lap. All participants are greeted with an (optional) pint of their favorite brew at the finish line. Beer tasting features the incredible local brew options from Wolfden Brewing Co in Bloomingdale, IL
Pick Your Racing and/or Beer Tasting Strategy:
1) Competitive Drinker (Run and Drink)
Instead of water stops set up at every mile, we provide Brew runners with a 3oz sample at the start, the half way point, and an ice cold pint of your favorite at the finish line! Looking for a 5k PR? This one is not for you! But if you're looking for a Beer-K PR, or just want to have the most fun you've had at a 5k race, then sign up now!
2) Run First, Beer Later
Like Beer and Running... just not at the same time? Run the 5k course with the rest of the field, then enjoy a pint of your choice at the finish line with your friends!
3) Designated Driver (D3 Division)
Just want to run a great race with a great course and awesome atmosphere? The D3 option is just a standard 5k race, minus the beer. And just a hint... if you have some friends who registered for the first 2 options, it's only fair that they cover your registration right? Just saying....
4) 0.0 K Race
Spectators are also encouraged to attend! The 0k option gains you access to the beer garden and includes a pint of your choice.... and you don't even have to run!
