Border Wars Half Distance Triathlon is set for October 1, 2023 in beautiful Litchfield, Illinois on Lake Lou Yaeger! Participants can choose to race the triathlon doing the 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run, or they can choose to race the aqua bike which consists of a 1.2 mile swim followed by a 56 mile bike. Participants should expect wetsuit legal water racing a two loop swim course along the beautiful Yaeger beach. The bike course is flat and fast overall racing through the county roads. The run is a 2 loop course running on rural county streets and along side some of Litchfield residential areas. As always Litchfield is a perfect spot to tailgate and enjoy the day for family, friends, and competitors once done pouring it all out on the course.
