Race to the Next Chapter

At the Millstadt Library, we're always moving forward.

Whether it's expanding our collections, creating a new program, hosting a new event, or trying to reach out to our community in a new way, it's our mission to make ourselves the most useful and most accessible as possible as we can be to our patrons and to the area of Millstadt.

Unfortunately, we've been stuck on the same chapter for years - a chapter titled Not Enough Room at the Library. Now, we're certainly not complaining. We're blessed to have the space we have and people worked hard for what we have. We also make the space work for all of those wonderful "new" things we mentioned above. But, there's so much more we could offer with more space. Even little things, like ADA compliancy, comfortable seating, or our own bathrooms.

One of the tasks to accomplish this mission is to increase our space and on our journey to do just that, we applied and received a grant from the State of Illinois and Illinois State Library for $1,254,722.65. However, we only get that amount if we can secure $2,592,598.35 by June 30, 2022. 

So will you help us on our mission to move forward? To create a community space with equal access to information, resources and education and social events for all ages? Will you help us on our Race to the Next Chapter?
