Race to the Next Chapter

At the Millstadt Library, we're always moving forward.

Whether it's expanding our collections, creating a new program, hosting a new event, or trying to reach out to our community in a new way, it's our mission to make ourselves the most useful and most accessible as possible as we can be to our patrons and to the area of Millstadt.

Unfortunately, we've been stuck on the same chapter for years - a chapter titled Not Enough Room at the Library. Now, we're certainly not complaining. We're blessed to have the space we have and people worked hard for what we have. We also make the space work for all of those wonderful "new" things we mentioned above. But, there's so much more we could offer with more space. Even little things, like ADA compliancy, comfortable seating, or our own bathrooms.

Our completed fiscal year of 2023-2024 saw:
Over $277,000.00 in savings for users
Over 17,000 items circulated
Over 1,000 computer uses
Over 12,000 people through our doors
Over 100 programs
Over 1,000 reference questions answered
A return on investment of $3.35 for each taxpayer dollar

As time continues, the need for a newer, larger library and community space increases, and unfortunately, so do building costs. 
 
Our journey for a new library isn't over and it won't be until we are able to build this facility and help our community flourish.
