Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run
Set in the beautiful town of Rock Falls, Illinois, the Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run Half Marathon, sponsored by 7:24 Fitness on the Rock, is perfect for runners of all levels. Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just starting out on your fitness journey, the challenging yet scenic course will keep you motivated and engaged from start to finish.
Starting and ending at Selmi’s Greenhouse and Farm Market, participants will be treated to gorgeous views of the local countryside, including rolling hills and picturesque farmland. The 13.17-mile course is carefully designed to provide a challenging yet rewarding experience for runners, with an elevation gain of 353 feet and two key segments that test your strength and endurance.
One of the course’s highlights is the Dillon Home to Sinnissippi segment, which takes runners through a serene wooded area and across the sparkling Rock River. The Walking Bridge Heading South segment is another must-see, featuring stunning views of the river and the local landscape.
But it’s not just the course that makes this race so special. Participants will also be treated to some wonderful post-race perks, including plenty of apple cider and apple donuts. Plus, stick around and enjoy music, delicious food, and refreshing drinks as you take in everything at Selmi’s.
And the best part? Fifty percent of this year’s proceeds will be donated to local charitable organizations, so you’ll not only be doing something good for yourself but also giving back to the community.
With its breathtaking views, challenging course, and post-race perks, this is one race you won’t want to miss.

Event Details
We will have the option for you to pick up your race bag on either Friday from 4-6pm at 7:24 Fitness on the Rock in Rock Falls, or you can pick up between 7-8am at Selmi's right by the start/finish line.
All participants will get a coupon for a FREE apple cider donut and drink from Selmi's, as well as a coupon for general admission into Selmi's if you want to check out all the great things they have to offer after you are done running/walking. We just ask if you bring family with you, that they go to the entrance of Selmi's and pay their general admission price, which is $8.
We will have water, fruit and granola bars for everyone when you finish, and we will also have other drinks for purchase. We encourage you to grab some lunch from one of our sponsors. If you are from out of town, we would gladly share our recommendations.
Make sure you follow our Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run Facebook page as that will be a great resource as we post updates and course details.
Rain or shine we will still have the run, so please be prepared. The majority of the course is on pavement, but there is about a 1/2 mile section that is grass, which depending on how much rain is received race week, may be soft/muddy.
There will be water stations throughout the course, as well as porta potties.
Top overall Male and Female runners for each distance will win an awesome trophy, we will have finisher medals for the 1/2 marathon runners, and age group medals for all distances.
We will have race day registration available for anyone looking to sign up last minute from 7-8am under the tent at Selmi's right by the start/finish line.

Parking
Parking is available in the Selmi's parking lot. Please park in the back in the grass area to leave room for Selmi's customers in front. You can also park across the street on Martin Rd and in the parking lot of Good Shephard Lutheran church.
