Description
The third year of war in Ukraine against the Russian invasion. Ukrainian people remain resilient as they fight for their right to be a Nation. The war has left countless people in dire need of humanitarian assistance. Millions of people are displaced, and wounded, requiring urgent assistance, food, medical aid, shelter, education, and more. The Run for Ukraine event aims to provide much-needed support to those affected by the conflict, helping them rebuild their lives and communities. We believe that together, we can make a significant difference and offer hope for a brighter future.
The Run for Ukraine returns for the second year on September 21, 2024, and we hope you will join our cause and spread the word. Hybrid event (live or virtual)

In addition, we have set up donation tiers and encourage you to create your own fundraiser supporting your run.
Participant Giveaways, Medals and Rewards: All runners will receive a memorable dry-fit race T-Shirt or Tank top and a custom-designed medal as a symbol of their achievement and contribution to the Ukrainian cause. Top finishers in 5K Live Run and 1 Mile Live Run will receive special recognition and prizes from our sponsors.
Aid Stations: We will have volunteers along the route with water and first aid.
Charity Component:
The proceeds from the race and donations will benefit Nova Ukraine - a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization (EIN 465335435) dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and raising awareness about Ukraine in the United States as well as in the rest of the world. Through your generous donations, we fund various efforts to help the people of Ukraine.
The team at Nova Ukraine in the US, composed of professionals and committed volunteers, works diligently to assist the people of Ukraine. You can find annual reports and more details at www.NovaUkraine.org, with an option to sign up for updates via newsletter.

September 21 Live Event Parking: Please use Dam No 1 Woods East Parking lot located South of Dundee Rd. Follow the signs and drive towards the end of the road. There should be more than enough parking spaces.

Enter on the south side of Dundee Road. Here is a Google link to the entrance:
When you enter drive about 1 mile south to the Start/Finish area. There will be signs along the way. There are plenty of parking spots, so park whenever you feel you scored a good spot, then walk south. The Start/Finish are near Grove 2 (The far south end of the parking lot).

This is a nice flat shady trail. There is one hill, well twice if you count the out and back... It's a cool bridge over Palatine Rd. View course map
