Description

Join Beck's for our seventh annual 5K run/walk on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Designed to promote health and wellness, Beck's 5K is a great opportunity for you to get OUT and get MOVING while connecting with the local community and raising money for a great cause! Over the last six years, with your help, we've raised nearly $250,000 to benefit Rock Steady Boxing, American Institute for Cancer Research, Team Rubicon, K9s for Warriors, We Care for Orphans FundSafe Haven Baby Boxes, Human Resources Center of Edgar and Clark Counties, Best Buddies International, Bravely Women's Health, Little Angel Gowns and the Indiana Donor Network Foundation.

Our event is stroller and fur-friendly, so bring your leashed K9 sidekick to run/walk alongside you!

Packet pick-up will be held Friday, June 5, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in front of Beck's Research Building on the north side of 276th St.

Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available from 6:30 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. EST on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The 5K Run/Walk will start at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Kids Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. (or immediately following the completion of the 5K, whichever is earlier). Age group awards will be presented around 9:00 a.m.

Charitable Recipient

Beck's is proud to announce that this year's event will raise funds for organizations that work to overcome childhood hunger and food insecurity, or that operate food pantries and soup kitchens for those in need. The organizations (highlighted below) were selected based on the great feedback we received from Beck’s employees across the country!

In addition to raising funds through the race, we will be organizing a multi-state food drive leading up to the event and a donation station at the 5K packet pickup and race to help make an even greater impact.

2026 Charities (Funds Will Be Split Equally Among All 13 Organizations)

Indiana - Second Harvest Food Bank Tailgate Distribution: Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana was founded in 1983 with the goal of leveraging resources in the community to combat rising rates of food insecurity. Second Harvest is and always has been a community effort. Funded by local philanthropists and powered volunteers, we have become the region’s largest hunger relief organization.  Their Tailgates serve entire counties at a time. At these large-scale, drive-through distributions volunteers load food directly from one of our semi-trailers into the trunks of neighbors’ cars.

Illinois - Compassionate Food Pantry:  Compassionate Food Ministries provides crucial support to the community by offering food distribution to families throughout Edgar County. They offer food distribution through curbside pickup and drive-through services, making it convenient for those in need.

Iowa - Perry Emergency Food Pantry: The Perry Emergency Food Pantry is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide food assistance for persons in immediate need in and around the Community of Perry, Iowa.

Missouri - Missouri Farmers Care: Missouri Farmers Care operates with a mission of promoting the continued growth of Missouri agriculture and rural communities through coordinated communication, education, and advocacy to supply food and resources to food insecure Missourians.

Nebraska - Southeast Nebraska Community Action (SENCA): Southeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. (SENCA) is a private non-profit that offers a wide range of services that are aimed at the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income individuals and families to become self-sufficient.

Ohio - Good Samaritan Food Pantry: The Good Samaritan Food Pantry Inc. is open as an emergency food pantry to feed needy people on an emergency basis for as long as this service is needed or the pantry is able to provide. The pantry is operated by volunteers from the community and is committed to "helping to fill the gap" for those in need.

Tennessee - Mid-South Food Bank: This organization serves the Mid-South community by providing assistance to those facing food insecurity every day. Across 31 counties, the Mid-South Food Bank is committed to delivering nutritious and wholesome food to local agencies and distribution sites. Their mission is to eliminate hunger in the region.

Wisconsin - Peyton's Promise:  Peyton’s Promise serves over 55 local food pantries in Marathon County to serve in the fight against hunger. With hundreds of volunteers and over 200 student advocates working in their schools and their community to organize food drives and spread awareness about the problem of hunger, their organization serves with the mindset that everyone is one catastrophe away from needing help.

Minnesota - Echo Food Shelf: The Emergency Community Help Organization (ECHO) provides emergency food assistance to people in Blue Earth County and North Mankato. ECHO began in 1981 in a church basement and was intended for short term food assistance to people in the Mankato area. Today, ECHO distributes 160,000 pounds of food to approximately 1,700 households every month.

Michigan - Kid's Food Basket: Kids’ Food Basket exists to increase access to healthy food for children and families. Their core belief is that food is a right, not a privilege. Because that is not yet a reality, they mobilize human and financial resources to break down barriers that cause food insecurity in West Michigan.

South DakotaSioux Falls Thrive: Sioux Falls’ quality of life and economic vitality depend on youth achieving their highest potential. Yet one-third of our school-age children face disadvantages that make educational and career achievement difficult if not impossible. Sioux Falls Thrive’s mission is to help all children in the Sioux Falls area to have the same opportunities to succeed by working to provide stability in three key areas: out-of-school time, food security, and housing.

KansasSalina Emergency Aid: Salina Emerge Aid Food Bank is committed to helping those in need by offering food and assistance with rent, utilities, and medications. They have two main goals, 1) keeping families nourished with the food they need and 2) preventing homelessness by helping with emergency funds needed when disaster strikes or a family cannot make ends meet.

KentuckyGrayson County Alliance: Grayson County Alliance is a nonprofit organization that strives to achieve food security, encourage financial independence, and nurture healthy families by providing free food resources to Grayson County's low-income families. By partnering with businesses, groups, churches, and individuals, they have supported families in their move to self-sufficiency for over 25 years.
