This year's Medal might just be the best yet. The medal also serves as a wooden, cork backed drink coaster. The Beaver Chase mascot, Bucky, is front and center on the wooden coaster. He is magnetic, removable, and can open your bottles with his teeth!
Beaver Chase The Urban Trail Race and Relay is the only trail quarter, half, full marathon, and full marathon relay located in downtown Indianapolis! It’s not very often that athletes have the opportunity to race a trail race at these lengths within the city, but due to the incredible work of trail enthusiasts and our parks departments, we now have the Urban Wilderness Trail connecting our two championship caliber cross country courses designed by the Indiana Invaders distance team. The loop totals a perfect quarter marathon, and it only makes sense to host a killer race on it! We are excited to return Indy’s only downtown trail race, and we look forward to hundreds of runners taking part in the second annual Beaver Chase Urban Trail Race! See the city like never before and explore your limits while racing along the Fall Creek and White River water ways on the northwest corridor of Indy! This race will be a hit for athletes from throughout the nation for decades to come! Get Busy folks, the beaver never rests!

Full Marathon Relay: 26.2 Miles 2-4 Person Teams

Virtual Race Guidelines/Expectations:
We ask that all registrants certify that they will comply with the current CDC Guidelines and other directives from the Governor of their respective state in participating and completing their half marathon. Our strong advice is to "RUN ALONE" or with your immediate family members. We all need to do our part to "stop the spread". Please be safe and do your part.
Here are some ways to be safe and still get your workout, training or virtual race completed:

While Racing:
Aid Stations:
We will have our traditional 3 aid stations that are passed twice each over the course of one 6.55 Mile loop. We will have 1-2 staff/volunteers manning the aid stations with gloves, masks, and plenty of hand sanitizer. Please snag your refuel items, and move along. Also please dispose of your items in one of the many trash bins around the aid stations. We will provide water, gatorade, some coke (at the self aid/loop station), bananas, and pretzels. We also have the self aid station for any full or half marathon participants that want to drop their own aid. You pass this spot around mile 2, and at the end/beginning of each new loop. We will put out additional tables to allow ample space to set your items out. We ask that you snag your specific items as needed and move along (do not stop and spend ample time in the one common area). Again hand sanitizer will be near your items in the self aid station.
Finish:
The finish line will also be 12ft wide, and clear/open for folks to run through without a crowd. You will have your finisher medal already from your packet. We will provide you water, and select pre-packaged food post race. Please allow the staff/volunteers to give you the food as they will be masked/gloved up. We will have our backdrops up for a quick photo, but we do ask you to plan to quickly move on post race. This is to keep crowds to a minimum assuring the healthiest atmosphere possible for participants, volunteers, spectators, and staff. Results will be posted online immediately after you finish at Run Sign Up, and photos will be up on Facebook within 24hrs.
Post Race Celebrations:
We will not be able to offer any post race celebrations. Unfortunately our long time partners with this event (Stacked Pickle) have permanently closed their doors with the challenges from COVID-19, and even if open it is not ideal for groups to form/congregate. We are also not able to secure permits for beer etc due to office closures from COVID-19. This race is all about chasing your goals, and leaving it all out on the course. We WILL have very nice custom finisher certificates that you can download from your results screen that will showcase your finish place overall, age group place, time, etc. Bring the speed, perform your best, and have fun while staying safe!
Spectators:
The park is huge, so if spectators are coming please encourage them to spread out, and enjoy the scenery. If you can estimate your finish time they can certainly watch you do loops, and then pop out to cheer you into the finish. We strongly encourage spectators to wear masks if they are near others or not able to socially distance.
