Tour de La Porte 2027: Move for More
Every Mile Builds A Stronger Community!
Tour de La Porte is more than a walking, running, and cycling event—it’s a powerful weekend of movement with purpose. Families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts come together to support the La Porte County Family YMCA and the vital programs that strengthen our community.
Every step, stride, and pedal fuels life-changing impact—helping kids discover confidence, families build healthy habits, and neighbors access inclusive, equitable programs that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Thanks to the dedication of our participants, sponsors, and volunteers, Tour de La Porte continues to grow its impact each year. In 2026, the event raised more than $71,000 to support programs that improve health, connection, and opportunity across La Porte County.
In 2027, we invite you to move with purpose, rally your team, and help create lasting change. Join us—and turn your passion into progress for La Porte County.

Weather, Cancellation & Unforeseen Circumstances Policy
Tour de La Porte running, walking, and cycling events are scheduled to take place rain or shine.
The safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and community partners is our highest priority. Event organizers reserve the right to delay, modify, suspend, shorten, reroute, or cancel any portion of Tour de La Porte if conditions are determined to be unsafe.
Conditions that may result in changes to the event include, but are not limited to:
Lightning or severe thunderstorms
Tornado warnings or other dangerous weather
Flooding
Extreme heat or other hazardous environmental conditions
Unsafe or impassable road conditions
Fallen trees, debris, or infrastructure damage
Natural disasters
Power or utility outages that significantly impact event operations
Local, county, state, or federal emergency declarations
Government or public-safety orders
Other unforeseen circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Tour de La Porte or the La Porte County Family YMCA
Weather and safety conditions may vary throughout the region, particularly for cycling routes that travel through multiple communities and counties. As a result, individual routes or events may be modified or cancelled even if conditions at Cummings Lodge appear safe.
When severe weather is present, Tour de La Porte Event Management will work in coordination with appropriate local public-safety officials to determine whether an event should proceed, be delayed, modified, or cancelled.
Any available updates will be communicated through the Tour de La Porte website, Facebook page, email, and/or text messaging whenever reasonably possible. Because Tour de La Porte includes multiple events held across multiple days, participants are encouraged to check event communications regularly throughout the weekend.
