We ask that you assist by cleaning up area of empty cups as you breakdown the water stop as the last walker passes.

Thank you for joining us! In this role, you will assist by setting out all of the mileage and directional signage along route. To expedite this role, we suggest having one driver and one person to place the signs. If possible, we hope to divide the route into two sections to further expedite the sign placement.

As volunteer will be in and out of car, volunteer should be fairly agile and pay attention to details to ensure sign is placed in the appropriate location based on map and road markings.

Run Start & Finish Line Coordinator

Details

1) Help with the starting line signs and banner flags, parking signs etc.
2) Coordination of Starts (Half Marathon @ 6:30 am | 10K @ 7:15 | 5K @ 7:45)
Ensure announcements start on time, the shot gun start goes off at the same time that the timer (usually via phone with timer) AND is of course encouraging and cheering on runners. Keep the walkers to the rear (behind this line signs) so that the runners can start AND then they do announcements and start the 5K walkers (just moments later)
3) Coordinate finish line (pretty much from the time the 5K starts…as the fastest runners are coming soon). Assist & supervise volunteers to stay engaged (i.e. keeping water buckets full, handing out water, passing out half marathon finisher medals and most of all congratulating and cheering on the runners…and encouraging others to do the same.

Water Stop Set Up

Thank you for joining us! In this role, you will assist by setting out table, water coolers and cups at all of the water stops along the route. To expedite this role, we suggest having two individuals to work together to set up each Water Stop. If possible, we hope to divide the water stop set up into two sections to further expedite the sign placement.
