This is a fun challenge for the kiddos competing in the Ultra Dare! There is a kids mileage log (under the Mileage Tracking Tab) that parents can use to help their kids racing through May! Print it and put it up on the fridge. The log includes space for 3 activities a day, and an incentive idea for the kids to earn after finishing their daily activities! If your kid does three 20 minute activities that is about 4 miles of running! Do all 31 days to complete 50 Virtual Laps around Indianapolis Motor Speedway!

The number of Hoosiers in need has risen dramatically. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, businesses are closing and individuals are losing jobs at an alarming rate. Because of this, food pantries have seen an increased demand. Gleaners states their usual distributions cover 400 households per day for the pantry. Gleaners served almost 5,200 families at their warehouse distributions this week (4/18/2020). More than 5 million pounds of food was distributed throughout their 21-county service area in March.

Food pantries are able to buy in bulk at discounted prices to really put your donation dollars to work.

  • $5 = about 20 meals.
  • $10 = about 40 meals
  • $20 = about 100 meals
  • $50 = about 250 + meals
  • $100 = about 500+ meals
  • $250 = about 1250 + meals
  • $500 = about 2500+ meals

Through donations from Kiss the Bricks Virtual Race we would like to raise at least $5000 or 25,000+ meals. Let's run, walk, and MOVE while seeking pledges/support for Gleaners to further their fight in feeding hungry hoosiers effected by COVID-19.

Centers For Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic

We ask that all registrants certify that they will comply with the current CDC Guidelines and other directives from the Governor of their respective state in participating and completing their half marathon.  Our strong advice is to "RUN ALONE" or with your immediate family members. We all need to do our part to "stop the spread". Be safe and do your part.

Here are some ways to be safe and still get your workout, training or half marathon completed:

  • RUN ALONE!  We'll have plenty of opportunities to run in groups when this is all over.  If you do run with a partner maintain 6 feet or more distance at all times.
Use common sense about where you run and when you run.  Going to run 8 miles in a busy park on a nice Saturday morning probably isn't your best choice.  You may need to change up when you run and where you run.
  • Vary your routes.  This is a great opportunity to switch things up, just be sure that you are running in a safe area with wide paths, roadway or trails.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.  We are all vying for some of the same space when we are out exercising.  Be courteous of others and providing plenty of room when you pass. Crossing the street when possible is a great strategy.
  • Consider more workouts from home.  Lots of great things are happening with technology, online classes and exercise instruction.
Referral Refunds

We want you to tell your friends all about Kiss The Bricks and we're not above bribing you! After you register you'll get a unique referral code. Share that with everyone you know. After 4 referrals you'll get $10 refunded (Free Shirt!).
