Diaper Dash 2023

Alaska Adoption Services is hosting it's 2nd annual Diaper Dash. Join us as we raise awareness and funds for the Community Diaper Pantry, a program of Alaska Adoption Services providing free diapers and wipes to families in need! We invite you to participate as an individual or on a team and fundraise to stock the diaper pantry! This is a family friendly event and fun for people of all ages! In 2021, Alaska Adoption Services (AAS) opened the Community Diaper Pantry. To date, AAS has provided over 170,000 diapers to families in need in Anchorage. In 2022 alone, we provided 82,000 diapers. Diaper need is a lack of an adequate supply of diapers to keep an infant clean, healthy and dry.  Diapers cannot be purchased with any form of government assistance, and 1 in 3 U.S. families struggle to afford them. If they cannot, then they are unable to send their child to daycare and unable to go to work or school. Diapers range from $80-$100 per month per child. We believe every Alaskan baby deserves to have a clean diaper and we are here to help.

We will begin the run at the Waldron/Bancroft Pond off Shelikof Street. The race will be timed in partnership with Skinny Raven. Parking will be available at the park, on the street, with overflow parking available at Tudor Bingo.
