The historic Publix Woodstock 5K is the premier running event of Anniston, Alabama, hosted by the Anniston Runners Club (ARC). As one of the oldest continuous foot races in the southeast, the Publix Woodstock 5K has been proud to bring a fun and family-friendly environment to this community event that has been held since 1981. Also available is the Kidstock 1K for young rookie runners, occurring after the 5K finishes.

We invite runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages and abilities to join us on Woodstock Avenue in Anniston. For 46 years, the Publix Woodstock 5K has promoted the healthy benefits of running and fostered community participation in Anniston, Calhoun County, and beyond. The event also draws in elite runners and visitors from across the United States and other countries. Think you have it in you to win the whole race? Our overall awards feature a $500 cash prize, with an additional $500 ($1000 potential total) for any individual who breaks the course record (male or female division).

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Friday, August 6

11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Packet Pickup at Anniston High School, within the Kilby House in the middle of campus (1301 Woodstock Ave, Anniston, AL 36207).
We recommend you pick up your shirt and bib on this day – Race Day is hectic, and if you wait until race morning, you may have to wait in long lines!
NOTE: Other participants, friends, or family are allowed to pick up your packet. Tell us your name and/or bib number, and our volunteers will get you checked in.

Saturday, August 7 – Race Day!

6:00 – 7:00 a.m. Last chance to pick up shirts and bibs.
7:15 a.m. – Call to the start line.
7:30 a.m. – Publix Woodstock 5K start! 
9:00 a.m. – Kidstock 1K start in front of the finish line (NOT the 5K start line)
10:00 a.m. – Awards ceremony for the Publix Woodstock 5K Overall Winners, Masters, and Teams in AHS Auditorium.  Age Group and All Kidstock awards will be handed out in the courtyard as soon as results are available. For official results, check the Results page online on RunSignup. QR codes will also be available. Results will be posted as soon as possible.

Water will be provided on the course and at the finish line. There are two water stops on the course: Mile 1 and Mile 2.
