Description
The RunningLane Track Club Youth Program is open to rising 3rd graders - 8th graders who are interested in learning more about the sports of cross country, track and field, and road running.
The Track Club mission is to produce a healthy, encouraging environment and to prepare youth distance runners for youth, middle school, high school competition and beyond.
What: Fall Youth Cross Country Running Program
When: September 6 - November 1, 2022 Wednesdays - 3:45 - 5:00PM
Practice Dates & Locations: All practices are on Wednesdays
Grades: Incoming 4th, 5th, and 6th graders
Level: All levels, from beginner to experienced
WHEN
Wednesday September 6 through November 1. (we will not meet on October 4th for Fall Break)
We will meet at John Hunt Park - Upper Parking Lot (John Hunt Cross Country Park, 2151 Airport Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35801)
PRICING
Price includes training, shirt, shoe bag, and FREE entry into the Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championship community race (https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/Huntsville/HSXCRace). (Details on the event will be provided throughout the training)

Things to bring.....
- Water Bottle
- Sunscreen (preferably already on)
- Proper running attire to include, shorts, shirt, shoes, and as the weather cools a light jacket/running pants
- A towel or Yoga mat for stretching and plyos
- A POSITIVE attitude!
This program will focus around the sport of cross country but also incorporate training fundamentals for track and field as well as general healthy lifestyle habits.
In the 8 week session we will provide athletes with a foundation for cross country running, along with training, and education that includes more than just direction in their running plan. We also will provide instruction on warm ups, stretching, injury prevention routines, drills and more.
8 WEEKS OF TRAINING INCLUDES
