AZAK announces Jaeger's Run 7k

In 2027 we will be hosting Jaeger's Run 7k as part of our Havasu on the Rocks Trail Runs. Jaeger was a 20 year old young man who traveled to Lake Havasu City from Pinehurst, ID with his mother Loni to run in our inaugural 7k event. Sadly, a month later we were notified by family that Jaeger had died unexpectedly due to an accident at his residence.

This is a photo of Jaeger as he began to take on Heart Attack Hill. Yes, smiling! We attended his memorial in Idaho in June and left enamored at what an incredible young man he was and the life he led at such a young age. Dedicating this run to him just felt right.

We have spoken to his parents Chad and Loni and have received their blessing to dedicate this years 7k to their son Jaeger. Proceeds from the 7k will be dedicted to a charity or cause yet to be decided by AZAK Events and the Hall family.

So join us for Jaeger's Run 7K. When you run, be sure to look up, take it all in and smile like Jaeger.

A new way to spend Spring Break

Havasu on the Rocks is not only Western Arizona's premier desert trail race we are also your "Official Spring Break Trail Run." Come run with us and we'll take you from the desert to the lake. With 3 events to choose from; premier, mid and short distance events as well as an all new 2 miler, we have something for everyone.

This year we are incorporating a very special event. We are dedicating our 7k to the life and memory of Jaeger Hall. Jaeger traveled to Lake Havasu City last March with his mother Loni from Pinehurst, ID to run in our inaugural 7k event. Tragically just a month later we were informed that Jaeger had died unexpectedly due to an accident in his home.

My wife Tonya and I attended Jaeger's memorial in Idaho only to be enamored by the young man we came to know. As a father myself I knew instantly I wanted to dedicate this year's run to him and his parents Chad and Loni. With their blessing we are doing just that. So, this year our 7k will be named after an incredible young man, an athlete, avid outdoorsman and hunter. So run like Jaeger and when you do, look up, take it all in and smile like he did. This one's for you young man! We will be donating the proceeds of our 7k, to a charity or cause yet to be decided by AZAK and the Hall Family. When we do we will immediately update that here.

IMPORTANT - Absolutely no furry friends allowed. We will have a ZERO tolerance policy in effect. No leashed or unleased pets in the vendor, race corral area or with a participant wearing an AZAK Event Co. race bib.

FOUR HOUR TIME LIMIT - Racers are subjected to a four-hour time limit cut off. The half and 13k are NOT intended to be hike events due to this time limit.

EVENT SHIRTS - Official race swag shirts and hats available as a Registration Add On. Quantities are limited so don't miss out. 100% of our Race Swag sales goes to Forged Outdoors our First Responder Mental Health and Resiliency non profit. This year those funds will be donated to a cause or charity yet to be decided by AZAK and the Hall Family. We will update this section once we have made a firm decision.

Flowing single-track, desert landscape, rugged views, blue green waters of the Colorado River, a towering Lighthouse and an aid station on the beaches of Lake Havasu are all waiting for you.

If you missedThe Half and 13k will take you across some amazing single and two track trails as we lead you on a trail run adventure to a lighthouse at Pilot Rock cove. Perched on top of Pilot Rock is a stunning white lighthouse on the shores of Lake Havasu. This working lighthouse guides boaters along Lake Havasu and will be your destination on the Pilot Rock Punisher Half or Pursuit 13k race.
