Welcome to the 5th Annual TriZona Super Sprint and MEGA Sprint Triathlon

What Is a "Super Sprint Triathlon" ?

A Super Sprint requires every member of a relay team to complete all three legs (swim, bike, run) of a triathlon.  The first team member starts the race, does all three legs and then hands off the timing chip to the next team member to complete the same course, who then hands off the timing chip to the final (third) team member to finish the triathlon. It is a "super sprint distance," meaning a much shorter course than a traditional sprint triathlon, but it does have its challenges.

The swim is 200 yards in the Lazy River against the current.

The bike is a 3 mile HILLY course (what goes down, must come back up!)

The run portion is a 1 mile HILLY course on the cart path

See The Course description below for further details.

~ NEW IN 2021 - Beginner SOLO Triathlon

This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to complete their first triathlon. This is a non-competitive event. It's all about pride, not prize.

Beginner Triathletes will complete ONE loop of the course - Swim, Bike, Run.

Individual MEGA Sprint Triathlon

One person will Swim-Bike-Run 3 TIMES IN A ROW. Are you MEGA tough? Are you up for a MEGA challenge?

The Course

The race starts with the Lazy River waterslide! Slide down the waterslide into the lazy river to swim against the current for 200 yards, then jump on your bike for a 3 mile bike ride, and finish up with a 1 mile run on the golf course cart path.

BYOB - Bring Your Own Bottle

There will be no water or food or aid stations on the course. If you need water or nutrition on the run course, you must bring your own bottle pre-filled. There will be food and drink at the finish line (see below).

We believe COVID-19 rules will still apply in 2021. Therefore, to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, all participants will be REQUIRED to wear a mask while setting up their transition area. Once you are in line to race, you will drop your mask into a bucket and begin. You do not need to wear a mask while racing; however, you must put on a mask immediately after you finish.

Again, IMMEDIATELY after you are done, if you plan to hang around and watch your team finish you MUST wear a mask. If you're not racing, you're covered up. No exceptions.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that participants limit spectators to ONE person. Spectators are only allowed along the course; they cannot be at or near the start/finish and transition areas.

What Do I Get for My Entry?
