Description
In 2004 Officer Ricardo Lizarraga was killed while responding to a domestic violence call. We run so that his legacy lives on. We run For Ricardo Lizarraga Elementary and many youths that live in South Los Angeles. This event will help support hundreds of youth from South Los Angeles with school supplies and after school youth programs.
This will be our 6th Annual Newton Street Run4Youth 5k run/walk and Kids Fun Run. This event will take you running on the streets of South Central past and through two beautiful parks (South Los Angeles Wetlands Park and Augustus Hawkins Nature Park).
Awards: These are the age groups for the top male and female categories. 18 and under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69.
Race day schedule:
8:00 am. Start for Kids Fun Run (11 and Under)
8:15 am 5k Run/Walk Start
Entry Fee:
Kids Run 11 and under - $15.00
5k - $25
