Join the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego for the 2026 Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk., a movement that brings our community together to educate, spread awareness, and make a difference for the people we love who live with epilepsy.
This event is dedicated to the memory of Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared deeply about epilepsy and advocated helmet safety. Click here to learn more about Sharon and helmet safety.
After you cross the finish line, there will be a community picnic with live music, food trucks, lawn games, and more. We encourage families to bring their own blankets, beach chairs, and umbrellas.
Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. San Diego is a 15-mile Bike Ride or 5K Run/Walk, but it’s more than that.
It matters because
- 1 in 10 will have a seizure in their lifetime
- 1 in 26 will be diagnosed with epilepsy
- 50,000 San Diegans live with epilepsy
- 3.4 million individuals nationwide are affected by epilepsy
Epilepsy is more than seizures. Every story matters in this fight. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to meet our San Diego community affected by epilepsy and read personal stories of why this matters.

Remembrance Wall

This year, the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County would like to honor those lost to epilepsy-related causes, including sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP), on our Remembrance Wall at the SUDEP Awareness, Bereavement Education, and Family Support Area.
If you have lost a loved one to epilepsy, we would love to include their name and photo on this wall as a way of celebrating their memory on this special day. To have your loved one included, please send the name of the person you wish to recognize, a photo, and a message of 120 words or less to raleigh@epilepsysandiego.org.

Who is the band?
The Uninvited is a long-running California band founded in Los Angeles in 1988, known for blending power-pop, folk, and rock with amplified banjos and mandolins, soaring harmonies, sharp lyrics, and a high-energy live show. Over the years, they’ve built a cult following, scored alternative radio hits, toured relentlessly, and continue to bring that same original, rootsy, crowd-pleasing sound to the stage.
