Run With A Cause
Select one charity that is near and dear to your heart.
Natural Disaster Recovery - American Red Cross
American Red Cross is there when people need them most. Their purpose is to meet the immediate disaster-caused needs of individuals, families, and communities. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, they are there to ensure people have clean water, safe shelter and hot meals. Today, American Red Cross is hard at work in responding to wildfires across the Western US, including California, Oregon and Washington as well as supporting local officials and community response plans in the Gulf Coast and areas inland impacted by Hurricane Sally and Laura.
COVID Relief - Community Organized Relief Efforts (CORE)
CORE faces the realities of disaster fearlessly, working on the ground to not only rebuild communities in the face of emergency, but to also create programs that focus on preparedness and resilience. They are your neighbors, brothers, sisters and your children. They are your friends. They are your volunteers fighting this together. To date over 1,000,000 coronavirus tests have been administered as they combat this global pandemic. Testing saves lives!
Diversity * Equity * Inclusion - NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF)
LDF’s mission has always been transformative: to achieve racial justice, equality and an inclusive society. The new political landscape and a retrenchment in key areas of civil rights poses unprecedented threats to the hard-won gains of the last half century. From new assaults on voting rights, to a renewed push to undermine equal access to quality education, to the reversal of criminal justice and policing reform, they face significant challenges in every area of their work.
Together, let’s inspire and unify runners all over the country to collectively log 100,000 miles while raising awareness and critical funds for relevant and worthy organizations.
