Description
Join us on Saturday, April 20th in downtown Jacksonville for the Girls of Virtue 5K & 1M Races. This will be the second year for our fundraising race event. All monies raised will benefit our non-profit organization Girls of Virtue.
Our Mission:
Girls of Virtue is a community for young women to have a safe environment that will teach them the proper skills they need to face today’s complex generation. To instill life skills through mentorship, workshops, and education. To empower and equip them to be grounded spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially.
In November 2022, we opened the first Empowerment Center in our area to offer these classes to the young women in our community. We have a gym and yoga studio to teach fitness, mindfulness, and self-defense. A kitchen to teach nutrition and healthy cooking on a budget. A library with books to empower and equip them. A computer lab for homework, resumes, college, and job applications. A creative arts studio to expand their imaginations. Private mental health rooms for mentoring and one on one counseling. Then a large life skills room to offer group therapy and workshops in every class to prepare our ladies for success.

All proceeds benefit and go directly to The First Coast Young Women’s Empowerment Center and to offer a safe place to empower and equip them for skills they need to navigate today’s complex generation.

Sponsorship Opportunity
Girls of Virtue is a community for young women to have a safe environment that will teach them the proper skills they need to face today's complex generation. To install life skills through mentorship, workshops, and education. Empowering them to be grounded spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially.
For our 2nd Annual 5K and Fun Run, we have selected the Jax Downtown Riverwalk. We chose April because Girls of Virtue was founded in April 2020 and we received the keys to our first Empowerment Center in April 2022. We will start and end right outside of the Empowerment Center.
All proceeds from this event go directly to our program. From 14 years old when our youth begin navigating their emotions, to 18 as they transition into independent living, and into their early 20s we will fill the gap for our young women. In November 2022 we opened the first Empowerment Center in our area to offer free classes to the young women in our community.
We have a gym to teach fitness and self-defense. A yoga studio for mindfulness. A kitchen for nutrition and healthy cooking on a budget. A computer lab for college and job applications, resumes, and homework. A library filled with books to empower and equip them. Private rooms for mentoring and one on one mental health coaching. A creative arts area to expand their imaginations. A large life skills room for group therapy and workshops on every topic to prepare our ladies for success. Then an entire floor is dedicated to helping these ladies launch companies and earn vocational trades.
