Flamingo Run for Rescues 5k - Wear Pink!

Come and join us for the first-ever Flamingo Run for Rescues 5K on May 9th, 2026

Run or walk your way through the beautiful Riverbend Park course while supporting the following local animal rescues Palm Beach Purrs, Great Dane Rescue of South Florida, Kelly’s Fosters and Wild Whiskers! 

Come dressed in your best PINK or Flamingo-themed outfit! Enjoy music provided by DJ Brandan V and refreshments provided by Wycliff Golf and Country Club, Rise and Grind, Bolay and Sprouts! 

Registration includes a high-performance race shirt and flamingo finisher metal. Every runner will be greeted at the finish line with an ice cold cooling towel and bottle of water! 

The Flamingo 5K starts at 7:30 am SHARP! Please allow extra time to park and walk to start line. The road to the race entrance closes at 7:10am for the safety of the runners. Timing is done by AccuChip Race Timing. 

There will be an awards ceremony at 8:20am for male and female overall top finishers three deep, male and female age-group finishers three deep, and flamingo themed prizes for the best group costume and best individual costume! You have to come just to see the custom FLAMINGO trophies for first place winners! 

Kids 11 and under are free with a registered adult. They will not receive a shirt or medal BUT we have fun flamingo swag for them plus yard games like corn hole and hula hoops! STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED ON COURSE

Race Day schedule:

Onsite packet pick up 6am-7am (Pre race packet pick up at PetSmart on Friday, May 8th)

Arrive and park by 7am (follow signs and volunteers in pink reflector vests)

Bathrooms, water, coffee and light refreshments available by the start/finish line

Road to race entrance closes at 7:10am

Race starts at promptly 7:30am

Awards ceremony starts at 8:20am

RACE POLICY (Strollers, dogs, etc.)

In the interest of safety and to address liability concerns, please note that strollers are allowed however animals are prohibited on the course and at the park. Access to the course is exclusively granted to registered runners and walkers who are wearing the official race bib.  Additionally, the use of scooters, bikes, skateboards, and similar devices is strictly prohibited.  Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is greatly appreciated. No dogs are allowed at Riverbend Park.
