Description
This race is held by the Lakeland Runners Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote running and fitness for people of all ages and abilities in the community.
The Mean & Green 5 Mile Trail Race will be held on the grass and dirt trails at Holloway Park, a private park in the middle of Lakeland with elite quality cross-country courses. This event will be low-key and environmentally friendly. As in previous years, we're going retro with no finisher medals, and only awards for male and female overall, masters and grandmasters. If you will need water for a 5-mile race, please bring your own bottle. Bottled water will be provided at the end of the race only. With your help, we can host an event with minimal trash going to the landfill. All runners registered before Dec. 20 are guaranteed a 50/50 blend long sleeve unisex T.
For everyone’s safety – NO strollers, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, or dogs will be allowed on the course. The use of headphones is discouraged.
The race will be chip timed with awards for overall, masters, and grandmasters male and female.
Everyone must be prepared to start at 8:00 AM.
The first Mean & Green 5-Mile race was held on January 18, 2020.
Shirt
Shirts are guaranteed only for those who register by Dec 27, 2021.
The shirt will be a unisex, 50/50 blend long sleeve T.
