Provide on-course direction for participants and use your voice to cheer them on and let them know you are glad that it is them and not you toughing it out over the 5-mile trail race. Your official volunteer shirt means you are in charge and are one of many people who have selflessly volunteered to make the Mean & Green happen.
Positions are marked on the course map.
Runners pass by the volunteers in alphabetical order. Positions A, B & G have runners pass twice.A & B - the course overlaps, so these monitors need to stay in place until the last runner/walker/sweeper passes a second time. The first pass is approximately 0.5 miles & the second pass is approximately 2.3 miles. These positions have double arrows to show the two passes.
