Heroes 5K Run (formerly Fight or Flight 5K Run)

Join aviation enthusiasts from the Ocala Metro area as they participate in the second annual Sheltair Heroes 5K On The Runway at the Ocala International Airport to support our local first responders. 

What a great way to take off in the New Year by participating in the Heroes 5K On The Runway while running/walking on the airport's ramp, runway, and taxiways! Before and after the race, you can enjoy viewing a multitude of static displays of airplanes.  Takeoff time is 7:00 AM sharp!

 
Sheltair is passionate about supporting and giving back to the communities in the cities where they operate. Proceeds from the event will benefit 501c3 organizations chosen by first responders in our local community, aimed at addressing mental health issues among our local heroes. The first 200 registered runners will receive a Fight or Flight 5k run T-shirt. Each finisher will receive accurately chip-timed results, with finisher's awards for the top 100 runners who cross the finish line.  Overall Male and Female awards will also be presented - but we're capping the awards at that level in order to put even more proceeds into the charitable organizations!

Pre Race Packet Pickup

Pre Race Packet Pickup will be FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23 at the 1200 SW 60th Avenue Ocala, FL 34474, from 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM. Packet Pickup will also be held RACE DAY, beginning at 5:45 AM.

AWARDS - the first 100 finishers will receive a finisher's medal ,and the Overall Male, Overall Female will also be awarded.  Awards are capped at those levels in order to maximize the amount of money donated to the race's charitable partners.
