2020 Doggy Dash

::ANNOUNCEMENT - RACE POSTPONED::

Runners, Volunteers, & Friends,

It is with great disappointment that we inform you that the 2020 Doggy Dash scheduled for Sunday, March 15th is being postponed.

This decision is based on the recommendation of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to cancel or postpone all mass gatherings in the state. We believe the decision to postpone the event is in the best interest of the health and welfare of the larger community. Based on our registration guidelines and the fact that the majority of the expenses for the event having already been incurred, we will be unable to provide refunds for the race. As soon as more information is made available at the National, State, and/or Local level, we will reschedule the race for an appropriate time. 

Everyone will still receive their shirt and medal, but it will be at the rescheduled date of the event. Anyone that is not able to attend the rescheduled date once announced will be able to run a "virtual race" and pick up their medal and shirt locally. We are also increasing the number of shirts and medals so more runners can participate and receive the full award packet. There will also be a few other fun additions to make the event even better.

Do you love running and also love your K9 companion? Maybe you only like one of the two. Either way, you need to join us for the 2020 Doggy Dash in Okeechobee, FL! Every penny raised will go towards constructing Okeechobee's first public dog park. Come be part of something that will help transform a community! With amazing tee shirts and fully custom race medals, you don't want to miss this race!

The race is being held in conjunction with Okeechobee Main Street’s Speckled Perch Festival. Friendly, vaccinated dogs on leashes are welcome to join for free! Their human friends can preregister for only $25. Day of event registration is still only $30.00. Check-in ends at 7:45 AM and Fun Run starts at 8:00.

Check-in south of the bandshell in Flagler Park (corner of SW 5th Ave & South Park Street, Okeechobee, FL 34974). Our gorgeous, fully custom medal is guaranteed for the first 150 registrants and matching race shirts are guaranteed for at least the first 50 registrants. We will have additional shirts available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the registration table.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of something special.
