ABOUT THE RAINBOW RUN + FAMILY FUN DAY EVENT
Join us on Saturday, March 8, 2025, for an unforgettable 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run and Family Fun Day event at Al Lopez Park, located at 4810 N. Himes Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. Check in begins 8am!
About the 5K
This 5K takes you through a loop around the beautiful Al Lopez Park on a fully paved walking trail. This is a timed event, and all participants will receive bibs in their race packets. Whether you’re sprinting to set a new personal best or enjoying a leisurely stroll, this 5K is all about getting the workout you want.
Medals will be awarded to the top finishers (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) in the women’s, men’s, and non-binary categories, along with participant medals for all runners.

· 5k: starts 9:00am
· 5k award ceremony: 9:40am
About the 1-Mile Fun Run
Get ready for pure fun where RIDICULOUS COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED! Run, walk, or stroll at your own pace—bring your friends, family, or even your dogs. The goal is simple: have a blast while supporting a great cause!
· Registration: begins 8:00am
· 1 Mile Fun Run: starts 9:45am
· 1 Mile Fun Run award ceremony: 10:15am
Additional Rainbow Run Perks
First 50 Registrants: The first 50 people to sign up (for either the 5K or 1-Mile Fun Run) will receive a commemorative 2025 Tampa Pride Rainbow Run flag and sweatband, so don’t wait—spots are filling up fast!
Packet Pickup: Each participant receives a race packet which can be picked up at two convenient locations the week of the event and the day of the event. Details will be provided closer to the date.
Food Trucks: Available throughout the event
About the Family Fun Day (a non-alcoholic event)
Family, laughter, and good times – that’s what a perfect Family Fun Day is all about! Come join the fun during Tampa Pride’s Rainbow Run for an action-packed day of activities. Get moving with outdoor yoga, show off your skills in games, or take part in our dance and hula hoop contests. Plus, there’ll be food trucks ready to serve up delicious bites to keep you going. Don’t miss out!

This event helps raise funds for Tampa Pride’s initiatives, including supporting local high school music programs and providing Tampa Pride scholarships to trade schools, vocational programs, and accredited colleges or universities for LGBTQIA+ students.
