Grab your sneakers, gather your friends and bring a little sass! Join us on Saturday, March 6, 2027, for the 5th Annual Bree’s Miles of Memories 5K at Etowah River Park in Canton, Georgia.
You may run.
You may walk.
You may come with your crew.
However you join us, we would love to see you!
This fun-filled, Dr. Seuss-themed race celebrates the life of Breanna “Bree” Leigh Chadwick and the beautiful legacy she left behind. Together, we’ll remember Bree, raise awareness about organ donation and continue spreading her joyful, generous spirit—one mile and one memory at a time.
Why We Run
Bree dreamed of becoming a teacher and had a heart for children, books and helping others. Her bright personality, contagious smile and legendary energy made every room a little happier.
After an equine accident, Bree passed away on July 8, 2022. Through organ donation, she gave others the gift of life. Her story continues to inspire people to register as organ donors, serve their communities and make a difference wherever they can.
Bree’s Legacy was created to carry her spirit forward by:
- Promoting organ-donation education and awareness
- Supporting children, families and teachers
- Providing meaningful community outreach
- Encouraging others to give, serve and spread kindness
- Every runner, walker, volunteer, donor and sponsor helps us continue doing good in Bree’s name.

Bree’s Miles of Memories 5K is an official Peachtree Road Race qualifying event. Whether you’re working toward a Peachtree qualifying time or joining us to walk, remember and celebrate Bree, we would love to have you!
Welcome to Seussville!
Seussville is coming to Etowah River Park, and a few familiar characters may be making mischief along the way!
Be on the lookout for the Cat in the Hat and friends roaming around, greeting participants and posing for pictures. We’ll also have free event photography to capture the smiles, costumes, memories—and probably a little race-day sweat too!
Dress to Impress—Seuss Style!
Come dressed as your favorite Dr. Seuss character for a chance to win a special prize!
Whether you arrive looking like the Grinch, the Lorax, Thing 1, Thing 2 or something completely creative, we want to see it. Costumes are encouraged but never required.
A Special Moment for Bree
Before the race begins, we’ll gather for a special memorial presentation honoring Bree and the incredible impact she continues to have on so many lives.
This is the heart of our morning—a time to remember her kindness, celebrate her life and recognize how her decision to become an organ donor gave others the gift of more tomorrows.
The 5K will begin immediately following the presentation, so please arrive early to ensure you do not miss this meaningful part of the event.

Our mission includes raising awareness about the importance of organ donation and we ensure that many children receive the support and resources they need to thrive. Awards and Goodies
The 5K will be professionally timed, with awards presented in the following categories:
Top Overall Male and Female
Top Overall Male and Female Masters
Top three males and females in each age group:
- 10 and under
- 11–14
- 15–19

All registered participants ages 10 and under will receive a free Dr. Seuss book!
Participants registered by February 12, 2027, are guaranteed an official race shirt in their requested size. After the deadline, shirts and preferred sizes will be available while supplies last.
Timing and Results
The race will be accurately timed by BT Race Timing. This race WILL NOT be chip timed. Please fill out the finish card, handed to you as you finish. Put your name, age, bib number and gender on the card, no need to put your time. Please turn in your card at the results boards for it to be posted. Failure to turn in your card will prohibit you from receiving an award on race day. Complete results will be posted to RunSignUp.com, BTRaceTiming.com, Athlinks.com and RunGeorgia.com after the race

Virtual Run Instructions
Can’t make it to Etowah River Park on race day? You can still take Bree’s memory wherever your feet may go!
Run or walk your 3.1 miles whenever and wherever you choose—around your neighborhood, at a park, on a trail or even on a treadmill.
How It Works
- Register for the Bree’s Miles of Memories Virtual 5K.
- Grab a friend, hydrate and get ready to move!
- Complete your 3.1 miles anywhere you choose.
- Have fun and share your journey! Post a selfie, your route or your finishing distance using #BreesMilesofMemories5K and #BreesLegacy.
- Submit your finishing time through RunSignUp by 11:59 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2027.
- View the virtual results beginning Monday after race day.
- Virtual participants will receive an official race shirt. Register by February 12, 2027, to be guaranteed your requested shirt size. After that date, shirts and preferred sizes will be available while supplies last.
Virtual race packages will be shipped during the week following the event. Shipping is available within the continental United States only and requires an additional charge. Someone from the Bree’s Legacy team will contact you after registration to confirm your shipping information and provide payment instructions for the shipping charge.
Virtual participants are not eligible for the official timed 5K awards.

Weather and Refund Policy
All registrations are final. No refunds, deferments or transfers will be permitted.
Bree’s Miles of Memories will take place rain or shine. If extreme weather or other unsafe conditions require the event to be changed or canceled for the safety of participants, registration fees will not be refunded.
Participants who do not attend their registered event forfeit their race shirt, book and any other event swag. Unclaimed items will not be held or shipped.
