All Treats, No Tricks

Dash over and join us for the SWEETEST Fun Run in Louisville! This unique course doesn’t just go around the Zoo but takes you directly “throo” the Zoo along our popular Boo at the Zoo route.

Race past your favorite Halloween characters and decorations at this fun run full of treats and no tricks. Participants receive a t-shirt, finishers medal, post-race party, PLUS a ticket to return to the Zoo to see your favorite animals during the day.

Registration Information

Your registration fee includes a one-of-a-kind race experience, a commemorative t-shirt, unique finishers medal, post-race refreshments, entry to win door prizes, and a FREE ticket to come back and visit the Zoo during the day! Register today before the price goes up!

June 15 - June 30: $30

* $5 under 5! For the safety of all guests, children ages four-and-younger require a registration. Note: this does include children riding in strollers or wagons. Please add your child during the registration process; age-based pricing will be applied at checkout. $5 under 5 registration includes a bib and finisher's medal. You can add an extra shirt at check out for an additional fee.

Virtual Race

Can't come in person but want to join in on the fun? Register for our virtual race! Run the 3 kilometers on your own schedule in a location of your choosing and record your time on our Results tab. Virtual racers still get the finisher's medal and ticket to return to the Zoo. Add a shirt for additional fee.

Packet Pick-up

Packet pick-up information will be posted at least two weeks prior to race day. Please check back for details. If you are unable to pick up your packet or have a friend/family member pick it up for you on our Packet Pickup day, we will have extra hours on Saturday, November 7 before the race. Please plan to arrive early enough to get your bib and get to the start line on time.

Race Waves

For the safety of all guests and to provide the best experience possible to all racers, there are multiple corral options for Throo the Boo. Please see below for additional details. (Note: all racers will be chip timed) While all racers will be chip timed, the first wave is reserved for competetive runners (no strollers or small children). All other waves are open to everyone, including walkers, stollers, and any guests wanting to spend more time on the route.

6:00 pm - Competitive runners elibible for an overall award. (no strollers or small children)
6:10 pm - Runners and joggers with a pace of at least 9 minutes per mile. (no strollers or small children)
6:20 pm - Run-walkers with a pace of at least 13 minutes per mile (only jogging strollers allowed)
7:00 pm - Casual runners
7:10 pm - Walk-joggers
7:20 pm - Open to all paces, including small children and strollers

Costumes

All guests are invited to wear costumes for this Halloween-themed fun run! Adults can join in the fun, but we ask that costumes be family-friendly (not scary). For your safety, please keep in mind that this is an evening race, and while paths are lighted, visibility may be an issue if you choose to wear masks or other excessive costuming.

For the safety and security of all guests, race bibs must be worn on the front side and over any costumes, remaining visible at all times.
