Camp Crooked Creek is known for its legendary ultra-trail, home to one of the region’s toughest and most scenic races. With events like the 50-mile, Marathon, and Half-Marathon, runners from across the country flock here to tackle this beast. Now, it’s your turn to get in on the action with our Crooked Creek 5K on Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 8:00 a.m.!

This isn’t your average 5K – this is the Crooked Creek Challenge. Wind through over 1,000 acres of rolling hills, surrounded by towering oaks, hickories, and beeches. If you’re lucky, you might even catch the scent of bourbon mash from a nearby distillery while tackling those scenic climbs and descents. The trail’s natural beauty will fuel your adrenaline as you weave around the stunning 70-acre John Barr Lake, right at the heart of the race village.

Only open for this event, the Crooked Creek trail is a rare treat – and you’ll be one of the few who can say they conquered it! So, whether you’re out for bragging rights, a finisher medal, or just the thrill of the challenge, lace up and take on this 5K like never before.

Race Details:

Registration: $15 per runner

T-shirt: $10 if purchased by November 22, 2024

Packet Pickup: Friday, December 6, 2024, from 4-8 PM at the Camp Crooked Creek Dining Hall or on race day starting at 7 AM.

Awards: Top Male and Female Finishers win awards, and all runners receive a custom Crooked Creek 5K medal.
