Description

 Work up an appetite for King Cake and family fun at the 13th annual King Cake 5K/10K.  Dress in your most festive Mardi Gras gear and join Faith House in Youngsville, on Saturday, February  25, 2023, for a 5K around Sugar Mill Pond.  After you cross that finish line, reward yourself with some of the finest King Cake in Acadiana!  

The King Cake 5K is a family-friendly event, bring the kids to the race for our 1-mile Fun Run, face painting, games, and crafts!  Those cheering on the runners can also get their fill of king cake, for a small donation.  

Early bird registration ends February 15th so don’t delay. Registration includes a great King Cake 5K&10K raglan shirt , King Cake tasting from the best bakeries in Acadiana.  Family and friends of the runners can enjoy King Cake as well for $5.

Packet Pickup/Registration will begin at 7:30 am
Kiddie Court opens at 7:30 am
1 Mile Fun Run Starts at 8:30 am
5K & 10K will begin immediately after the Fun Run
Awards for best dressed will be given!

COVID-19 Safety Procedure Guidelines

The well-being, peace of mind and safety of you the participant and the event staff is most important in our planning and execution. Please read these few simple guidelines.

  • Please respect people's space and abide by the 6' guidelines.
  • Sanitizing stations will be available.
  • Volunteers will be frequently cleaning high touch areas.
  • Please stay home if you are symptomatic (cough, shortness of breath, fever, etc).
  • The water stations will have cups placed on the tables but will not have volunteers handing them directly to the runners. We encourage everyone to bring their own hydration as well to limit interactions.
  • If you won an award and do not want to stay for the award ceremony we will have them available for pickup later in the week at Geaux Run. If you live outside of Lafayette we will mail it to you.
  • We will not have the results board near the finish line chute. Results will be posted online as they are available. Cajun Timing will also have a tent near the finish line where they can print your individual result.
