Sisters at Heart 19th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness "Virtual / In Person" Fitness Walk...PLUS+

ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD...WE ARE VIRTUAL                

The ENTIRE month of OCTOBER 1-31, 2024, will be dedicated to our 19th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Virtual Fitness Walk Plus+ @ the Village Green in Indian Head, MD.  There is NO EXCUSE not to participate with us virtually or in person to support the men and women in our lives that are affected with breast cancer in the Southern Maryland Tri-County area.

Early registration starts September 1, 2024.  Registration fee is $35 / person whether you participate virtually or in person.  

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL / IN PERSON WALK...PLUS+ Event?      A Virtual Event can be ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE and takes place the entire month of October.  It can be done in your neighborhood, at your favorite local trail or park, at your office during quick lunch breaks, or wherever you feel safe and motivated to complete your event.  You are not restricted to walking.  You can jog, run, dance, skate, bike, paddle board, kayak, do yoga, Qi Gong or Tai Chi or do ANYTHING PHYSICAL, ANYWHERE, and complete the activity ANYTIME during the month of October.

Our In-Person Walk is at the Village Green in Indian Head, Maryland.

• MARK YOUR CALENDARS...OCTOBER 19th...Indian Head Breast Cancer Walk.  This annual event is open to the entire community and will take place on the Village Green at 100 Walter Thomas Rd. Indian Head, MD. This walk features a gathering of friends and family walking together to brings awareness to Breast Cancer. We will begin at the Pavillion on the Village Green, then walking down to the Waterfront Boardwalk and end at the Village Green. 

•  REGISTRATION starts at 8:30am followed by our Fitness Warmup and then The Walk.   

• YOUR DONATIONS are educating individuals about breast cancer as well as providing needed services for breast care.    

SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SHOW US YOUR PINK during your Virtual / Walk PLUS+.  Take pictures and then upload it to our Facebook webpage @#SistersatHeartBreastCancerSupportGroupofSouthernMaryland and the Run Sign Up website.   Post Pictures on "YOUR" social media pages to share with friends and family.

Sisters at Heart Breast Cancer Support Group of SOMD have partnered with Health Partners of Waldorf, Chesapeake Charities, and The Outdoor Living Company to make this walk a success.  Our Virtual Journey and In-Person Walk, assists Sisters at Heart in supporting our community with Hope.
