Description
To commemorate the Calvert Marine Museum's 50th Anniversary, we are inviting the community to complete 50 miles of activity during the month of October. Choose your mode of movement! You're encouraged to log all “intentional miles” - run, walk, bike, hike, swim; hit up the gym, the trails, or your own staircase to achieve 50 miles. Keep in mind, 50 miles is about 1.5 miles per day.
This challenge is virtual and you can participate with your friends and families at your own pace and at your own place! The challenge will start on October 18th and end on November 18th.
During our challenge, CMM staff will share local route ideas and fun weekly challenge cards!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Step 1: Click the Sign Up button.
Step 2: Share! Invite your friends and family to join the challenge as well.
Step 3: Run (or walk or hike or skip ) and log your distance (optional) in RunSignUp
From October 18, 2020 to November 18, 2020 your goal is to walk/run 50 miles over as many walk/ runs as needed. After each run, submit your distance in RunSignUp.
Get social! During the challenge, post photos of your journey and use the hashtag #CMM50for50! Visit our event page on Facebook to share your progress and support other participants!
HOW TO LOG YOUR MILES:
1. Go to the Results page.
2. Click Submit Virtual Results and search for your registration.
3. Then, click Log Activities next to your name. If you aren't logged in, you can quickly verify yourself by phone number or email.
4. Click Add an Activity and then enter the date and distance of your run.
Note: If you had multiple runs in a day, you can enter each new run by clicking Add Another Activity button or you can aggregate them together for the day. Either works fine. Don't forget to click Submit Results when you are done.
