Winterläufe - The Winter Race

Get ready to kick off your 2025 race season with the 16th annual Winterläufe 8K on Saturday, February 8th! Hosted by the Frankenmuth Jaycees, the Winterläufe is a charity event, with all proceeds supporting essential causes.

This scenic out-and-back road race takes participants on a tour through the beautiful countryside of Frankenmuth, with an exciting run over the historic 1904 Gugel Bridge. Every registrant, except those choosing the Economy option, will receive a themed cotton long-sleeved T-shirt, a finisher medal, and delicious finish-line food. For a $5 upcharge, you can upgrade to a Sport Tek long-sleeved T-shirt. There are fantastic awards for top participants.

The Economy option is for participants who want to take part in the race but don't need the extra swag and want to save some money. They will still be eligible for awards and finish-line food but won't receive a shirt or finisher medal. Even if you choose the Economy option and later decide that you'd like a medal or a shirt, we will have a limited quantity for sale at our Winterlaufe Store, along with many other great items, so that you won't miss out!

Please note that registrations after January 21st cannot be guaranteed a race shirt or finisher medal.
