LAFF Pathway Paddle & Pedal Festival is a fundraising event to extend the local non-motorized pathway that will connect the communities of Linden, Argentine Township, Fenton and Fenton Township!
Come on out Saturday, June 14 from 10:00am-8:00pm to downtown Linden for a family-friendly day of fun! You do NOT have to sign up to attend the Festival!
Go for a paddle on the Shiawassee River or pedal on the completed Phase 1 of the LAFF Pathway. There will be Live Entertainment, Vendors, Activities, Workshops, a Kids Zone and Raffle Prize Baskets available at the Linden Amphitheatre Gazebo and Community Center (VFW Hall) located at 105 Mill St, Linden, MI 40451. Food Trucks will be available to satisfy the appetite!

Those who wish to participate in the Paddle & Pedal Festival! Bring your bike to pedal the completed Phase 1 of the LAFF Pathway and/or bring your kayak and paddle the Shiawassee River! When you register, you'll receive this year’s exclusive Festival 10-Liter Waterproof Gear Bag and are automatically entered to win Detroit Tigers tickets (winner announced during Two-Tone Corduroy’s performance 6:00-8:00).

- After the festival: Unclaimed bags can be picked up at the SLPR Community Building in Fenton.

You have until May 24 to pre-order the exclusive 2026 P&P Festival Sport Tec T-Shirt. (You do not have to participate to order the shirt)

- After the festival: Unclaimed bags can be picked up at the Southern Lakes Parks & Rec Community Building in Fenton.

KAYAKING! Feel free to bring your own kayak. Don't have a kayak. No problem! Shiawassee River Shuttle is our supporting company. To book your kayak, call or text 810-206-2002 or email shiawasseerivershuttle@gmail.com Kayaks will be available to rent till 5:00 the day of the event but it is best to book ahead of time. The paddling route will have you go east up the Shiawassee to Tupper Lake or Lake Ponemah and then back. It is approximately 4-5 miles round trip that will take you 1.5 - 2 hours. You are welcome to turn around at any point. A map and written directions of the recommended route will be available at the information table. Down River trips available by request (limited quantity).
BIKING! The pedaling route is about 10 miles. Ride at your own pace as This Is Not A Race! A map and written directions of the recommended route will be available at the information table. Signs will also be posted to guide you along the way. Ride Etiquette: You will be sharing the trail with walkers, joggers and bikers. It's basically like driving. Ride on the right side of the trail. Pass slower traffic on the left and it is considerate to either ring your bell or say "On your left" to the walker, jogger or biker you are passing to alert them of your presence.
PADDLE & PEDAL ADVENTURE
- Adventure: Guided kayak tour down the Shiawassee River (Downtown Linden → Hogan Rd) then bike back on the LAFF Pathway.
- Schedule: 11:00 AM & 2:00 PM tours: Festival registration & reservations with Shiawassee River Shuttle required (limited spots available).

$25 adventure kayak rental
$15 transport for your own kayak - Festival Day: Pick up your registration packet at Linden Community Center, then check in with your bike at the SRS boat launch. Your bike will be locked up. Your guide will take you down the river. When you reach Hogan road, SRS will bring your bike & pick up the kayaks. Your group & guide will bike back to the festival grounds.
- Includes: Life vests & bottled water
- Suggested items: Water shoes, hat, phone in waterproof bag, sunscreen, snack.
Timing: Paddle (~2 hrs), bike return (~1 hr, easy pace).
VENDORS! A variety of vendors will be available for a fun shopping experience! Items from health, fitness, handmade crafts and unique gifts! Available from 10am-6pm
WORKSHOPS! Ever wanted to learn how to change a bike tire or simple bike maintenance? There will be trained biking experts to learn from!
RAFFLE PRIZES! Raffle Prize Baskets will be located in the Community Center. Purchase your raffle tickets at the information table. The winners of the raffle prizes and will be announced at 5:30 by the DJ at the Gazebo Amphitheatre! (need not be present to win, unclaimed prizes available for pick up at the SLPR Community Building in Fenton)
